Venue Description

Croke Park is the historic headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and the national stadium of Ireland. Situated in Dublin, it is the third-largest stadium in Europe. Unlike most major European stadiums, it is primarily used for traditional amateur Irish sports such as Gaelic football and Hurling. The stadium features a three-tier stand structure on three sides, with the fourth side (the Hill 16 terrace) being a historic open terrace. Croke Park holds immense cultural and political significance in Irish history, representing the spirit of national identity.

Historical Milestones

Established in 1913, Croke Park was completely redeveloped in stages between 1991 and 2005. It was the site of the historic opening of the ground to association football and rugby in 2007.
